Helen is on the cusp of releasing her second studio album of 11 tracks written and recorded between 2020 and 2022 again co-produced with Aria award winning producer Bruce Haymes.

Helen is thrilled to be back on stage for the Americana festival OUT ON THE WEEKEND with her show THE GIRL FROM CHICKASAW COUNTY – AN ODE TO BOBBIE GENTRY. Joining her will be Suzannah Espie, Sarah Carroll, Lachlan Bryan and Liam Gerner on vocals backed by the Okolona Four – Bruce Haymes on keyboards, Mitch Power on guitar, Stephen Hadley on bass and Roger Bergodaz on drums.

Thrilled Sarah Carroll is once again special guest opening the show, performing songs from her 2017 release Star Parade.

‘Birds’ was recorded with Shane Reilly on pedal steel and backing vocals, Stephen Hadley on double bass and produced by Craig Pilkington. Originally written by Neil Young in 1970, this is a very different interpretation of one of my favourite songs.

The video was filmed at The Caravan Music Club in Melbourne by independent filmmaker Rachael Lucas and features Garrett Costigan on pedal steel and Stephen Hadley on double bass.
